Despite the dire situation, the show delivered one of its most heart-wrenching scenes as Mark Sloan professed his love for Lexie in her final moments, staying by her side until her last breath. Unlike some character exits driven by behind-the-scenes conflicts, Chyler Leigh’s departure from Grey’s Anatomy was a personal decision.
